About Dr. Yirga
Dr. Rahel G. Yirga is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine. She completed her undergraduate at the University of Maryland (Baltimore County) her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine (Baltimore, MD), and internal medicine residency at York Hospital’s Department of Medicine, in York, Pennsylvania under the direction of Residency Program Director, J. Wolfe Blotzer. She was one of the original founders of Winchester Medical Center’s Hospitalist Program in 2003. She has been working in private practice since 2011 and has 15+ years of experience serving geriatric patients in the hospital, acute rehabilitation, nursing home, assisted living and home care settings. Her true passion is providing home medical care. She is recognized by her patients as being on the cutting edge of medicine and being their “Guardian Angel.”
Dr. Yirga has privileges at Fairfax hospital, Alexandria hospital and Reston hospital. She serves as the Medical Director for Allegiance Home Care, helping homebound aging adults maintain independence at home.

Dr. Rajdeep Parmar, DO
Dr. Rajdeep Parmar, DO is an internal medicine specialist and has been practicing for 21 years. He graduated from Des Moines Univ Coll Of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery in 1997. He specializes in diagnosing and treating cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organ systems. He has extensive experience working with elderly patients in the hospital, skilled nursing facility, acute rehab, assisted living and home care environments.
Nancy Nicolson, ANP
Ms. Nicolson completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Worchester State University in Massachusetts where she trained and worked in some of Boston’s respected hospitals. As a registered nurse Nancy has years of experience in hospice, home health, urgent care, family practice and nursing home care. She graduated from George Mason University with a Master’s in Nursing in 2012 and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Her program at George Mason was in collaboration with the Medical School at George Washington University. As a nurse practitioner she has worked in internal medicine in private practice and nursing homes to provide care to both long term and skilled residents. With Allegiance House Calls she works with Dr. Rahel Yirga to provide primary care to residents living in assisted living centers.
Christian LaVenia, AGNP-BC
Mr. LaVenia completed his undergraduate nursing degree at Marymount University and Master’s in Nursing, Adult-Gerontology NP at George Mason University. He has extensive experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Wound Care, Rehabilitation Medicine, Post-Surgical Medicine.
